problems please feel free to contact our customer services team.
How do I set up WAP or GPRS online for my phone?
To set up WAP or GPRS Data access on your phone please use the following links:
Does it matter which Mobile Network Operator I use?
In the UK the service will not work on "3" but will work on all the other operators.
The reason it does not work on "3" is because they do not support an open mobile internet environment.
Some operators in other countries will not support the service.
Can the service be used on all mobile phones?
No, the service is built to run on java enabled phones. If your phone is less than 12 months old then
it is likely to support java although there are exceptions. In order to check the compatibility of
your handset click on the 'Supported Handsets' link above. Alternatively you can go through the
download process and we will check to see if your handset is compatible with our service. We are
constantly adding new handset support so if your phone is not currently compatible, but it supports
java, it is likely to be supported in the near future. Once you have gone through the download
process we will have your details and, if you so choose, we will inform you when a specific version
for your phone is ready for download.
During the download process I am advised that the application is from an Unknown or Untrusted source?
There is a known problem with some handsets regarding the application as 'unknown' or 'untrusted'. The software is verified and secure. If you see this message when attempting to download select 'yes' to continue.
How much will this service cost me?
Ladbrokes do not charge you for this service, however there will be network data charges from you operator.
Placing a bet should cost you pennies but it is advisable that you contact your network operator for
definitive costs if you would like clarification.
Can I use this Mobile Service abroad?
Yes. As long as your mobile operator supports GPRS roaming you should be able to use this service abroad.
You may need to enable your mobile account for roaming. Please contact your network operator for details
of which countries you can roam in.
How do I contact my Mobile Network Operator?
Contact details for your network operator can normally be found on your mobile phone bill.
Alternatively you can use the information provided below.
Is the service secure?
Yes it is. Due to the nature of wireless communication the service has been designed with security as a top
priority. Your personal data is our primary concern and as such we have employed multiple encryption
technologies to ensure that the information passing between your phone and our servers is secure.
Can I tell what model phone I have?
The model number is usually printed under your mobile phone
battery and we list all the handsets we support in the "Supported Handsets" section.
What happens if I receive a call or SMS whilst using the Service?
Your phone will still be able to receive inbound voice and SMS traffic whilst using the service.
Most supported handsets will allow you to take a call and will return you to the service
once you have finished.
What happens if the connection drops whilst using the service?
Should your connection drop whilst in the process of placing a bet, and you do
not receive a confirmation message, check the "Transaction History" section in
the "My Account" menu once your connection has been restored. You can also refer to your account balance.
If you are still uncertain please contact our customer services team to identify if
your bet was successfully placed.
I've downloaded the service, but can't seem to connect.
On some handsets you might successfully download the service but might find that you can't connect. This is
probably because your have the incorrect GPRS settings. To resolve this you need to ask your network operator
to send you the GPRS settings for the MOBILE INTERNET or MOBILE WEB as opposed to WAP.
Refer to the network operator contact information above.

Content Blocking
The following information applies to UK network operators only.
The UK network operators have recently implemented a policy of blocking certain types of content and services on
their networks. This has been done in order to prevent anyone under the age of 18 from accessing these services.
Vodafone describes this policy as follows:
"Content Control is a barring and filtering mechanism that is designed to protect young people from exposure to
adult services." - Vodafone Website
This means that adults are required to "opt in" in order to use certain services. This includes the Ladbrokes
mobile service.
Am I affected by content blocking?
If you input your UK phone number into the below form and click "Send" we will send a "WAP Push" message to
your phone. This message links to a page on our server. If you are able to see that page you are probably
unaffected by content blocking. If content blocking is in place you will be redirected to a warning page
from your network operator.
How do I remove content blocking?
Simply put, you need to verify that you are over the age of 18 with your network operator, usually this means
registering your credit card details with them. A guide on how to accomplish this with each network
operator can be found below.
Vodafone
You can remove content filtering on your Vodafone handset by using the Vodafone WAP service during the download process. Alternatively
you can unblock your phone on-line, by
calling Vodafone Customer Services or in person at any Vodafone store.
Vodafone will deduct £1 from your credit card but you will then receive £2.50 worth of credit on your mobile account. If you
have issues undertaking this during the download process please call Vodafone UK Customer Services for more information.
